I’m sure you are well conscious of spring always follows winter and fall always precedes it. Duh. Not trying to insult you here just to make a simple point which has been true for centuries. Seasons come and go at their own pace and there is nothing we can do to slow them down or speed them up or influence their behaviors – they have their own agenda and schedule.
Having said this, you will be amazed at the amount of people make an effort to rush the seasons with their lives you will find, each life has its own four seasons and they appear and disappear often with little regard for the plans, hopes, fears, dreams and desire to control them.
Before I continue let me clarify the quote after Wise Life Lessons. Yes, time passes at its own pace and gives its unique lessons to everyone but, this doesn’t mean we need to just sit idly by awaiting items to change or improve independently as time does move in one minute and one day to the next. OK, since which is taken care of, let me get back towards the basis of this message – the seasons of life.
Let me briefly describe all of them.
Winter – times of; despair, adversity, discouragement, pain, problems, challenges, uncertainty, regret, disappointment, resentment, endings and fear.
Spring – times during hope, dreams, new beginnings, plans, goals, desire, opportunity, optimism, belief, planting seeds and confidence.
Summer – times of relaxation, fun, enjoyment, wonderful memories, confidence, belief, effort, laughter, travel, vacations, easy days and pleasant nights.
Fall – times during harvesting, success, dreams realized, accomplishments, patience, rewards and contentment.
Yes, all these seasons can have other – both positive and negative circumstances, emotions and outcomes, but each generally features a basic theme that generally defines this era in our lives.
Therefore there are three questions I might ask – what season are you currently in, in your own life? How are you handling or managing it and are you effectively preparing for the following season?
What season are you currently in?
The seasons of life can be found in no particular order unlike nature’s seasons. You can be in winter as a young person as well as when you find yourself a senior citizen. You can feel the joy of summer during your retirement years or perhaps you can find now full of effort, challenges and relentless problems. Keep in mind that each of us during our life can undergo cycles from the four seasons where we move from winter to spring and back to winter. In everyday life, a season can last a couple of weeks or a long period, depending on how we believe, act and behave during each season.
Forget to understand the necessary life lessons throughout a particular season and rest assured, you can find yourself yet again facing similar issues or problems again in the future.
The challenge for each of us whatever the season we find ourselves in at any given moment would be to behave in a mature, responsible and positive way. Just because it’s fall and a time of harvesting previous decisions, actions or effort doesn’t mean you should just suit back and bask forever within the sunshine of blessings and success. You might want to consider some actions or decisions that will help you cope with the coming winter with less pain and struggle.
If you find yourself in a winter that just won’t manage to end, this might be considered a time for continuous reflection, introspection and self-evaluation. Or, it may be a time period of renewal as you prepare for the effort required through the coming spring and summer.
No matter the season you find yourself in at this time, it might be smart to maintain attitudes of growth, maturity, maintaining the right life outlook and recognizing that whatever season you happen to be in is simply temporary, is among the best approaches you can give the current season. Just keep thinking – this too shall prepare me (or as many people are partial to saying – this too shall pass).
How are you handling or managing it?
Each season of life requires different decisions, actions and behaviors.
While in spring periods (again – times of growth opportunity and planting seeds) you require discipline, effort, patience and belief. This is a period of waiting and planning. It’s a period for confidence, action and consistency. As soon as your actions and behaviors embrace these mindsets you might be setting yourself up for future success inside the coming seasons. With out them you are going to neglect to realize the hopes, dreams and results you desired.
When in the summertime season (again – times of enjoyment, effort and confidence) it is vital that you simply maintain vigilance, balance of work and play and patience. Ignoring your spring efforts (of planting seeds etc.) will guarantee that the harvest within the fall will be under expected or desired. It is a period of blended activities – experiencing the playful summer days and nights without neglecting your time and efforts and goals.
When in the fall season (see above definition) it can be easy to just take pleasure in the fruits of your own previous labors and just reap your harvest day after day. Yet caution is recommended as winter is just nearby and if you fail to harvest successfully which includes physical and mental preparation for the purpose lies ahead, you may find your winter harder and more than you can endure. Fall is really a time for enjoying as well as preparing for precisely what is around the next corner.
When in the winter months season (see above definition) this can be a time period of despair, discouragement and a loss in faith and hope. It can test your resolve, patience and self-belief and confidence. In this season it is critical which you maintain your mind and eye on which lies ahead (spring) and not bogged down at nighttime, long, cold and hard days and nights. During winter you can easily fall prey as to what is going on in the moment, having said that i caution you – one of the better actions you can take is always to strengthen your resolve, understanding and patience for what you are actually dealing with knowing Cute Quotes that it must be just portion of the ongoing life process which before you know it spring will arrive.
